Strategic exhibition design that positioned a new brand as premium in a competitive market
Project overview
Detailometer was launching a new measurement tool for professional automotive detailers at SEMA Show – one of the biggest automotive trade shows in the world.
The challenge? Standing out in an exhibition hall packed with thousands of automotive products, all competing for attention.
This wasn’t just about looking good, it was about positioning a technical measurement device as a premium tool that serious detailers invest in, not just another gadget on a crowded stand.
What I created
Exhibition stand graphics for SEMA Show, built on the brand identity I’d created for Detailometer.
We worked collaboratively on both the messaging and imagery , some of their original product shots weren’t high enough resolution for large-format printing, so we sourced alternatives that would work at scale without losing quality.
The black and gold colour scheme with diamond sparkle elements immediately signals premium positioning – professional detailers recognise this as high-end territory, aligned with the luxury car detailing market.
Real-world usage imagery shows the device being used in actual detailing scenarios, which makes a technical measurement tool feel approachable and intuitive rather than intimidating.
The result
At a show where technical tools can easily blend into the background, Detailometer’s stand generated significant interest and conversations.
The premium visual positioning helped them attract the right prospects and those conversations converted into sales calls and business opportunities.
