From DIY materials to strategic learning tool that positions a coach as a premium programme provider
Transforming a functional workbook into a strategic learning experience that guides participants through boundary-setting while positioning Sarah’s programme as the premium next step.

Project overview
Sarah was launching a programme helping people break free from people-pleasing and fixer mindsets.
She had the content nailed – years of therapeutic expertise distilled into practical exercises.
But her materials needed to work two ways: digitally fillable AND printable for participants who prefer pen and paper. More importantly, they needed to deliver real learning outcomes while positioning her paid programme as the natural next step.
What I created
A dual-purpose workbook designed with my ‘Function over Frills’ approach – learner experience first, aesthetics second.
Using Sarah’s text and brand photography, I created a design that makes complex therapeutic concepts instantly accessible.
The workbook features bite-sized information chunks, mindset shifts highlighted in their own visual containers, and clear section breaks so participants always know where they are in their learning journey.
At the back, a strategic call-to-action invites participants to apply for Sarah’s programme.

Strategic design
The design does three jobs simultaneously: teaches boundary-setting effectively, makes participants feel they’re getting premium value (positioning Sarah as an expert worth paying for), and guides them toward booking a consultation call.
Every design decision supports the core learning objective – helping people recognise their fixer patterns and build confidence to say no without guilt.

The result
Professional learning materials that work as both a standalone programme resource and a conversion tool.
Participants complete the workbook feeling they’ve received genuine value while seeing Sarah’s paid programme as the logical next investment in their boundary-setting journey.
