From generic templates to confident client onboarding

An Online Business Manager needed professional onboarding materials that would make new clients feel safe and confident, something DIY tools and templates couldn’t deliver.

Project overview

Ayesha had the content for her client onboarding and basic branding elements (logo, colours, fonts), but couldn’t translate this into professional presentation slides that felt authentically hers.

She’d exhausted the usual solutions – ChatGPT and Canva templates – but everything felt disjointed and generic.

The real problem was that she had branding but no extended brand identity.

Without that visual foundation, no amount of AI prompting or template tweaking could create the cohesive, professional experience her high-value clients expected.

What I created

Rather than jumping straight to slides, I first created social media graphic templates that included a comprehensive set of custom brand assets – giving us the visual foundation the DIY tools couldn’t provide.

These assets then became the thread that tied everything together.

Building on that foundation, I created:

Complete slide system including:

  • Master template slides for independent future creation
  • Ready-to-use designed slides with concise, visual messaging
  • Additional custom assets created specifically for the presentation
  • Consistent brand asset application throughout
  • Bespoke video training for confident maintenance and expansion

Strategic design approach

The gap between basic branding and professional execution is where most businesses get stuck.

Templates and AI tools can’t create cohesive brand systems from scratch, they need that foundation to work from.

By building out the brand assets first through the social media templates, then extending and applying them to the slides, everything could flow naturally and consistently across all touchpoints.

The result

Ayesha now onboards new clients with professional materials that build confidence from the first interaction, while maintaining complete independence to create or modify slides as her business evolves.

The presentation communicates professionalism while feeling authentically her – something the DIY route couldn’t achieve because it lacked the strategic brand foundation holding it all together.
