Building a complete brand system from a single Logo

Transforming a standalone logo into a cohesive visual identity that communicates transformation and growth across three service branches.

Project overview

Hazel had her logo designed elsewhere but was stuck with a single asset and no clear direction on how to build a complete brand around it. She’d tried creating supporting materials in Canva but kept getting lost in options and second-guessing every choice. Nothing looked quite right together, and she knew she needed professional guidance to create the consistency and polish her coaching business deserved.

What I created

I refined Hazel’s existing logo and built a complete brand identity system around it, everything she needed to create professional materials with confidence.

Custom illustrations

The bespoke visual elements tell the story of Hazel’s approach…foliage for personal growth, a tree of life for connection, lotus flowers for wellbeing, butterflies for transformation.

I also created practical design elements like organic containers for pricing, wave patterns for movement, and highlighter assets to draw attention to key messages.

Every element serves a strategic purpose while maintaining the calm, supportive tone Hazel’s clients need.

Logo refinement: Tidied up the existing logo design to ensure clean lines and optimal file formats for all applications

Colour palette: Seven calming colours rooted in nature: forest and sage greens as primary colours, earth tones and rose as accents, creating a trustworthy, growth-focused feel

Fonts: Complementary typefaces that symbolise Hazel’s professional yet friendly personality

Custom assets:  A suite of nature-inspired illustrations including foliage for growth, tree of life for connection, lotus flowers for wellbeing, and butterflies for transformation

Canva social media templates: Ready-to-use templates for carousels, quotes, testimonials, and promotional posts that Hazel can easily customise

Strategic design

The challenge wasn’t just creating pretty assets, it was solving Hazel’s practical problem of not knowing what to do with her brand.

The detailed guidelines explain why each element exists and when to use it, removing the guesswork.

The Canva templates give her a starting point for social content without the overwhelm.

The consistent visual language works across all three service branches while allowing flexibility for different audiences.

Most importantly, the system is robust enough that anyone on Hazel’s team can maintain brand consistency without design expertise.

The result

Hazel went from one logo and a lot of confusion to a complete brand system she actually knows how to use.

She can create professional-looking materials without getting lost in design decisions, her team has clear direction for maintaining consistency, and her visual identity now matches the quality of transformation she delivers to clients.

The brand feels calm, trustworthy, and growth-focused…exactly what insurance professionals navigating challenging corporate environments need to see.
